Sentek was established in 1991, specifically to manufacture a comprehensive range of electrochemical sensors for both laboratory and industrial applications.

 

Products include pH Electrodes, Reference Electrodes, Steam Sterilisable, Autoclavable pH Electrodes, Metal Electrodes (ORP), Conductivity Sensors, Ion Selective Electrodes, Temperature Probes and Dissolved Oxygen.

 

 

 

 

In 1994 the Company acquired a new factory in Braintree, Essex with improved manufacturing and administration facilities. Sentek has an active on-site research and development laboratory and can offer advice on many unusual or difficult applications.

 

To meet the demands of an expanding market place, Sentek opened a further Production Unit in Fife, Scotland in the early part of 2000, and this has grown to five people, with the scope for even further expansion should it be necessary. The overall size of the Company, together with its turnover, has doubled since the end of 1998.

Our manufacturing programme is flexible enough for us to supply probes to suit virtually every meter on the market.

Sentek pride themselves on their Quality to customers around the world, so in January 1997, Sentek achieved ISO 9002 approved from British Standards Institute, for the Manufacture of electrochemical sensors  - Certificate No. FM 36099, and have since achieved BS EN ISO 9001:2000 standard.

Recent additions to the Company's product line are a complete range of calibration and accessory solutions for all of our electrodes. We also have a Swing Arm Electrode Stand and a range of Hollow Cathode and Deuterium Lamps.

 

Following demands from the Market Place, SENTEK decided to add a range of Disinfectant Probes to their programme, and this comprises - Chlorine, Chlorine Dioxide, Peracetic Acid, Ozone, and Hydrogen Peroxide.

 

Both 2 and 4 pole sensors are available, and Controllers suitable for these probes can also be purchased from Sentek. This range off probes has been an instant success for the company.

 

Again, to meet the needs of the market place, Sentek added a range of pH probes entitled pH PLUS. These probes are produced with a non silver reference system, to provide a better performance on samples prone to contamination from silver reference systems. Again, these have been a huge success for the company.

 

However, the biggest success for SENTEK is their willingness, and flexibility to provide probes to customer design. A large percentage of the business is producing probes for manufacturers of pH, Conductivity, and DO2 meters, some of whom are the largest in the business world wide; A further percentage is producing specifically to a customer's design.

 

Whether it be a different plug, longer probe, longer cable, different colour cap, or a name other than SENTEK on the probe, we can and will do it to satisfy a customers wishes.
